Coffee Traders is located within the Piazza Dining area on Level 1 of the Top Ryde Shopping Centre. There are approximately 19 restaurants in this area across the ground and first floor. I have only managed to check out a few of the restaurants here ever since arriving in Sydney, with the Red Spoon Thai being our most visited place for lunch (the hubby and his Thai cuisine :P).
I first heard of Coffee Traders from a post I saw on Instagram showing off their 3D latte art. I had to get one I thought, it was too cute! Off I went for breakfast one Saturday. A photo of this later 🙂
The cafe is quite spacious with indoor and alfresco dining, as well as a bar area. Stylish, comfortable and also family friendly.
The breakfast menu was a standard one. I ended up getting the Fresh Ripened Avocado on Sourdough bread ($9.90) with haloumi (extra $4.50) for breakkie. The dish came with a small side salad as well which made me feel healthy! Otherwise it was an ordinary dish. The haloumi added some depth of flavor when combined together with the avocado. Good addition!
My main motive for coming here was for the 3D latte art. I proceeded to order a Mocha and asked whether I could get a 3D latte art with it. Initially the barista refused as she said they only did it when they are not busy. I was sorely disappointed and told her I only came to the cafe for this. She still didn’t budge but luckily one of the guy working besides her overheard us and said he will do it for me if I didn’t mind waiting for it. Yay! Of course not. I was so happy! Thank you kind man! Here it is..
There’s a bear floating in my cup! Isn’t this the cutest thing ever? I was a happy girly after!
Thanks to Coffee Traders for making such as a cute drink for me! I saw a photo of a piggy 3D latte art as well as numerous other figures that they have made before as well displayed on the wall. So creative! Love your work!
